Slade Jones Named Director of Faulk & Winkler’s CAS Services in Lafayette
Faulk & Winkler is pleased to announce that Slade Jones, CPA has been promoted to Director in the firm’s Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. Slade divides his time between the firm’s Baton Rouge and Lafayette locations.

Slade serves business owner clients across various industries with outsourced accounting and business advisory services. He focuses on helping business owners understand their numbers, strengthen processes, and make more confident decisions. In his time at Faulk & Winkler, Slade spent five years serving clients with audit and assurance services before moving fully into Client Accounting Services.
“Our work starts with getting to know the people behind the business — what makes them unique, what they want out of the business, and where they need support,” Slade said. “I’m proud to keep growing my career at Faulk & Winkler because we offer a strong team, serve a variety of clients, and bring the firm’s relationship-driven approach to more businesses across south Louisiana.”
Before joining Faulk & Winkler in 2020, he built a broad career in business and operations, including accounting work in the oilfield industry and hands-on construction experience. Slade also ran his own custom cabinetry business. This experience gave him first-hand experience as a small business owner, affording him a valuable perspective on his clients’ priorities and challenges.
Founded in 1984, Faulk & Winkler has grown its headcount by nearly 50% since January 2025 while remaining locally owned and operated. This includes five new leadership hires across both client service and operational functions. In May, the firm namedKasey Melancon partner, its first resident in Lafayette. The firm plans to expand its presence in Lafayette with a new office opening in the fall of 2026.
Slade is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. A Broussard resident who as called the Lafayette area home for almost 25 years, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA).
