Emma Williams, CPA
Chief Operating Officer
As COO, Emma Williams translates the firm’s long-term vision into the systems and processes needed to execute it. Equal parts analytical and creative, Emma builds agile, sophisticated infrastructure that positions the firm to pivot and scale proactively. She devotes her time to assessing and developing systems at the intersection of technology, processes, and people.
A trained accountant, Emma spent eight years in major national markets providing internal audit and risk advisory services with a leading global accounting firm. Serving clients domestically and internationally, she cut her teeth in special attestation and Systems and Operational Controls (SOC) reporting, while advising clients on data security and information processing compliance. In these roles, Emma partnered with control owners to walk through operations from start to finish, identify gaps and risks, and build practical improvement plans.
As an auditor, Emma realized a passion for building teams and optimizing systems. During her tenure in this capacity, she passed the CPA exam, grew key client accounts, mentored junior team members, coached CPA candidates (including senior colleagues), and built and led teams through significant growth.
Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, Emma is a candid and decisive leader poised to spot opportunities for improvement. At the same time, she interprets team dynamics and skillsets to invite input, nurture consensus, and keep people engaged through periods of change.
Outside of work, Emma is an equal-opportunity hobbyist who enjoys gardening, needlepoint, hand embroidery, painting, and cooking.
