aburleigh@fw-cpa.com

Amy Burleigh provides outsourced accounting and financial guidance to municipalities, towns, and special districts. She has 16 years of public accounting experience and has been with Faulk & Winkler since joining the firm in December 2010.

Clients and colleagues value her responsiveness and the trust they place in her work and guidance. Amy approaches each project by assessing the need, identifying the right solution, and putting that solution into action. She values the relationships she has built with her clients and enjoys the opportunity to work closely with them through the CAS practice.

Before entering public accounting, Amy began her professional career as a Certified Elementary Education Teacher, spending seven and a half years in the classroom. She later transitioned into the private sector, where she held roles in purchasing, accounting, human resources, and office management, including leadership positions overseeing accounting and HR functions. Her background in education, operations, and accounting continues to shape the practical, solutions-focused approach she brings to clients.

Amy is a Certified Ethics Training Liaison and was named manager in 2017.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys making memories with her four granddaughters, traveling, and cheering on LSU Baseball. What she appreciates most about Faulk & Winkler is the firm's commitment to caring for and valuing its employees, describing the team as her "family away from home."
